These cars were primarily used to transport famous “big band” leaders, such as &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Miller" title="Glenn Miller"&gt;Glenn Miller&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benny_Goodman" title="Benny Goodman"&gt;Benny Goodman&lt;/a&gt;, and their bands and equipment.
